![]() I liked how all teaching was on core values in Islam which all Muslims agree on around the world regardless of ethnicity and practices. ![]() The content on Ali Huda keeps growing and evolving but here is what you can expect your child to learn through the various shows: Best part: you can save the videos to view later too when you don’t have wifi! learning Themes The content on Ali Huda is safe, there are no ads and the learning about core concepts in Islam is presented in engaging and age-appropriate ways. SAfe + Age Appropriate + No AdsĪs parents we often worry what our children are exposed to. As they watched the shows such as Baba Ali, Quran 4 kids and Amani & Zhirk Practice, they sang, laughed and most importantly learnt lovely lessons about Islam along the way. There is lots of learning in a fun way through stories, songs, puppets and cartoons. Just like Netflix, there are many fun shows but specially created for Muslim kids. It can be watched from anywhere in the world and appropriate for children age 2 – 12. What I loved is that there are no ads and you (and your kids) can watch it on your iPhone, Android, iPad, Tablet, Laptop, Apple TV and Chromecast. Netflix for Muslim Kids: Ali HudaĪli Huda is a subscription based service to watch video on demand specially curated for Muslim kids. Ali Huda got a big thumbs up from my kids. Much like Sesame Street, we had lots of fun but also learnt along the way about core Muslim values and much more. As I enjoyed the content with my children, the quality reminded me of Sesame Street. It’s available on Netflix in some regions and we found the link below on YouTube.I’m super excited to be reviewing Ali Huda today which is an on demand streaming app for Muslim Kids similar to Netflix. This is an absolutely amazing movie with great music for children ages 4+. The two Teen Bahadur movies are great for kids 6 – 12 years old to give them local heroes and improve their urdu skills by watching the movies. ![]() The quality isn’t great so to attract your own children, you will need to be heavily involved and tell them how you enjoyed these stories as a kid and what they meant to you! 9. Some kind souls have uploaded the stories on YouTube now. I still remember the wonderful stories and series along with amazing songs. Cassette KahaniĪny 80s child from Pakistan would remember Cassette Kahanis that were urdu audio stories we listened to on our cassette players. However this is a good series plus it encourages my children to drink milk! 8. I’m not a big fan of shows that are produced for promoting a specific brand. The flying tent has some lovely Urdu poems for children produced in beautiful colours and sung with soft gentle voices. The show follows his life as he learns, plays and enjoys every day. Jan is a curious and adventurous five-year-old boy who lives with his parents, siblings and a grandmother. Jan is a great addition to Urdu Cartoons for Kids with lovely lessons for children in a light and entertaining way. Below is a link to the compilation of all episodes together. There are lovely lessons to be learnt from each episode that are 4 – 5 minutes long. Zainab is a little girl who loves to take inspiration from what Quaid-e-azam has said about various moral and ethical topics as she changes the world one day at a time. The show can be a great resource to teach urdu to children who love action and adventure. ![]() Burka Avengerīurka Avenger is a school teacher by day and has a secret identity as a burka-wearing super hero who saves her school and village from the villains. We love Mera Sabaq for the stories and songs. Sadly, the show was discontinued but even the existing episodes are a great repository for children aged 1 to 8 years old. What’s not to love about Elmo who talks in Urdu and loves Qawwali?īelow is the link to the first show and follow the rest on YouTube. The quality is amazing and the show teaches children about urdu, science, values and Pakistan. This is an urdu version of Sesame Street that was produced in Pakistan. This has been one of the questions I’m asked the most on the blog along with recommendations for urdu books for children so I’m happy to answer it today. You can watch these with your children to improve their vocabulary and interest in urdu. Sharing a list of urdu cartoons for kids, that will be appealing for them, along with links.
